FLINDERS LEGAL ADVICE CLINIC INFORMATION
Flinders Legal Advice Clinic is operated by Flinders University, College of Business, Government & Law.
Our Clinic is staffed by law students under the supervision of qualified legal practitioners (primarily staff from Flinders Law).
We are holding a short-term “Pop-up” Clinic with a Workshop held in December 2017 & an advice clinic held in February 2018. This clinic is separate from all our other clinics.
The Clinic is open to any member of the community however this Pop-up clinic has limited appointments available and will give priority to people who attend the Workshop held in December 2017.
Flinders Legal Advice Clinic can provide assistance in relation to matters where the financial amount in dispute is not more than $12,000. The Clinic is not able to provide legal advice in all areas of the law. It aims however to provide legal information in most areas of law and where necessary to provide referrals to other legal service providers.
We do not:
- Take over management of your claim for you; or
- Act as your lawyer or represent you in Court.
Our Clinic is a free service. You do not need to pay for appointments with us. We do not pay any costs associated with litigation or other processes. This means that you must pay for any of your own costs, including Court filing fees and costs of obtaining evidence or preparing for hearing.
All information that you provide to our Clinic is treated as confidential.
